VACANCY
For a Parish Councillor
Ludford Parish Council are looking for another Councillor to join us.
Who can be a Parish Councillor?
Anyone who is over 18, lives or works in the Parish (for the 12 months prior to election) you must not be Bankrupt or have any Criminal Convictions (for the last 5 Years)
If you have a keen interest in your community and would like to know more about what a Parish Councillor does please get in touch we would love to hear from you! The role is not intensive (unless you want it to be) and will not take up hours and hours of your free time just a few hours a month. we are particularly interested in applicants from The Sheet Area to ensure that there is fair representation of the Parish.
Meetings are every other month for around 2 hours. You will receive information and emails which will take up time, occasionally there will be additional meetings to discuss important issues, there are training sessions, joint working groups and volunteer groups to help out with as and when necessary. We are flexible and will try to allow the new Councillor freedom to decide just how much time they can spare rather than put any pressure on.
